Joyce Moldovan , Member at Large
Joyce grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degree in Education. She began her long career in education, teaching inner-city children in downtown Milwaukee. After she married John they went in pursuit of their careers and wound up in beautiful Virginia. Joyce became a middle school science teacher and eventually became the head of the science department. It was through teaching science that Joyce found a strong passion for protecting the environment. She began a recycling program that continues to this day. Joyce was the recipient of several prestigious awards: Teacher of the Year and the Environmental Educator of Virginia. Now, Joyce is happy to lend her expertise to help her daughter educate the young in Sonoma County.
